Among the riding holidays they offer are the four day/night Yeats Trail on the coast, the Donegal South Trail of seven days and nights in their spectacular forests, and the Donegal West Trail of seven days and nights covering rivers and majestic mountains.
Their horses are mainly Irish Hunters, and they also have Connemaras and Irish Cobs, all known for their excellent natures and reassuring steadiness. Remember, trail riding is energetic and you’ll need to be over twelve years of age, fit and able to trot, canter and gallop.

Sligo Riding School
Legend has it that this area was the first site settled by man in Ireland. With its remarkable collection of ancient megalithic tombs and burial chambers, some dating to 3500 BC, it is a fascinating and visually stunning place to visit. It is also the home of some of the most spectacular scenery and diverse riding terrain in the country, and it is for this reason that The Sligo Riding Centre at Carrowmore, County Sligo is such a popular choice for visitors and locals alike.
Their outstanding facilities include an indoor ring and outdoor ménage, a wonderful cross-country course, an equestrian equipment shop and a clubhouse overlooking the indoor ring. They have stabling for up to 50 horses and their mounts are either Irish Hunters or Connemara ponies, both known for their reliability and great dispositions.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful with a great deal of experience and your host and the owner of the facility, Declan McGarry, takes great pride in ensuring all guests are given personal attention.
