Castle Barna Golf Club
Castle Barna is a most enjoyable 18-hole course. Laid out on rolling parkland with plenty of mature trees, natural streams and easy going terrain, which provide a great challenge for all abilities of golfer.
The idyllic Castle Barna golf course in County Offaly is set on some of the most beautiful countryside in the centre of Ireland and is only 45 minutes from the K Club, home of the Ryder Cup 2006. Located along the banks of the Grand Canal on its route from Dublin to the west, Castle Barna Golf Club is on the edge of Daingean.
On entering the club, the beautiful stonework of the clubhouse gives a hint of the excellent quality of the course. The fairways are always in mint condition, the greens are immaculately manicured and whether you are a high or low handicap golfer, you will seldom make the same putt twice.
The course is interspersed with many trees, some of which are hundreds of years old. The course plays 5,798m, par-72 standard scratch 69 from the back trees and the course enjoys great popularity with tourists, visitors and societies. Visiting members from other clubs enjoy the beauty of this excellent course and the friendly atmosphere in the clubhouse.
Edenderry Golf Club
Founded in 1910, this excellent 18-hole parkland course provides a very good test for any golfer and is less than one hour from Dublin and 30 minutes from the K Club, the 2006 Ryder Cup venue. Visitors are very welcome and will receive warm hospitality from all our bar and catering staff.
Birr Golf Club
The post glacial terrain of Birr’s 18-hole course presents a challenge to the most discerning golfer. Established in 1893, originally part of the Estate of the Earl of Rosse, Birr Golf Club offers a wonderful 18-hole par-70 parkland course. It is situated in the centre of Ireland and within a short drive of all major sea and air terminals. ”The Glens” as it is also known, is a must for all touring golfers. Here you are assured of a real Irish welcome to a recently renovated golf course complemented by full bar and catering facilities.
Esker Hills Golf Club
