Long’s Horse Riding
The spectacular Dingle Peninsula, a place of wild and rugged beauty, is home to Longs Horse Riding & Trekking Centre, a family-run centre located in the village of Ventry, Country Kerry. With a wide range of treks and countless paths to explore, there’s something for everyone.

Open all year round, they offer everything from an hour’s mountain ride, their gentlest trek, to half and full day rides, where you really get the chance to bond with your horse, a truly rewarding experience.

Killarney Riding Stables
Originally established by Mr. Donie O’Sullivan in the late 1960s, today Killarney Riding Stables remains a family affair and is run by Donie and his wife Noreen, son William and daughters Lorraine and Aoife.

Located just two kilometres from the heart of Killarney town in County Kerry and close to the world-renowned Killarney National Park, this is an area of great natural beauty and a joy to explore on horseback.

At the stables, approved by the Irish Tourist Board and AIRE, they are delighted to offer hacking, trekking and trail riding in the National Park for one, two and three hour excursions. You ride in the way that you’re most comfortable with, from a gentle walk to a lively canter over wood and parkland terrain.

For longer visits, why not try the Killarney Reeks/Ring of Kerry Trail Ride, two and five day outings taking in mountains, beach, bog, forestry and country lanes. They also specialise in hacking, trekking & trail riding in the National Park

Muckross Riding Establishment
Treks in National Park, woodland trails, views of mountains, lakes. Suitable for beginners and experienced riders. All treks provided are guided trips. Guides are on foot or on horses depending on experience of customers. Boots and helmets are provided.

River Valley Stables
River Valley Stables opened its doors to the public in 1993 in the region of South West Kerry known as the Roughty Valley. The stables are members of AIRE. Its instructors are trained and are there to give you an experience that few people rarely get.

There is no age limit for anyone wishing to go horse trekking. All riding gear required for treks is supplied but customers are welcome to bring their own.

The treks can be as little as 1 hour to as much as 8 hours riding, depending on your experience and endurance (with a maximum of 8 persons at any one time). All rides take you out into the mountains, where you can relax at a pace that suits you and which gives you the opportunity to enjoy the scenery that River Valley

Eagle Rock Equestrian Centre
Located in Caherdaniel, a wonderfully picturesque village on the beautiful Ring of Kerry, Eagle Rock Equestrian Centre is the perfect base for a riding holiday with a difference.

The stunning scenery, which makes this area Ireland’s most popular and enduring holiday destination, is at its most impressive when seen from the saddle. It gives to you a great sense of natural beauty and an appreciation of the Great Outdoors.

At Eagle Rock, an A.I.R.E. approved centre, they cater for riders of all levels and experience from beginners to old hands. They carefully select their ponies and horses and make sure that every horse and rider is a perfect match. If you’re just starting out, their fully qualified instructor will take you through your paces, while the more experienced of you may wish to enjoy one of their woodland, beach and mountain treks. These vary from an hour to half a day and nothing beats them for sheer exhilaration and enjoyment.

Tralee Equestrian Centre
Located at the foothills of the beautiful Slieve Mish Mountains, Tonavane, Tralee, County Kerry, Tralee Equestrian Centre is the perfect base for exploring the beauty of the West Kerry Peninsula on horseback.

A purpose-built equestrian facility, the centre operates a public riding school and offers tuition and great horse riding to riders of all standards and experience. They offer both private and group lessons with British Horse Society instructors while guest trainers take you through your paces in dressage and show jumping.

Taking full advantage of their wonderful setting, there are daily mountain trails all year round and beach and half day rides on the breathtaking Dingle peninsula. They provide a full livery service as well as competition livery.

Among their first-class facilities are a 20 x 40 metre indoor school an American barn with 19 rubber matted stables and showers and a changing room for your convenience. The centre is also the home of West Kerry Riding Club and ‘The Tack Shop’, is a great place to pick up anything you need for horse or rider.

Horse Riding Ireland
