Lough Gill
Lough Gill holds brown trout averaging 0.5 lb. The fishing is regarded as free. A boat is necessary to fish the lough; boats are available.

Croansaght River Glanmore Lough
The Croansaght River drains Glanmore Lake. It gets a small run of spring salmon, and the grilse come in June; the sea trout run in August. There is one boat for hire on the lake.

Sneem River
The Sneem River drains a number of lakes. It gets a small run of grilse and sea trout in July and August. It is very much a spate river.

River Laune System
The River Laune drains the lakes of Killarney. It gets a good run of spring salmon and grilse; the best of the spring salmon is early in the season, and the grilse run peaks in June. The sea trout stocks have declined, but the river holds a good stock of brown trout.

River Maine Little River Maine Brown Flesk River
The River Maine is a medium sized river with two tributaries, the Brown Flesk and the Little Maine. It flows into Castlemaine Harbour. Much of the river is overgrown. It gets a good run of salmon and sea trout late in the season. It has five draft nets operating at the mouth, including one above Castlemaine. The grilse enter the river in June and the sea trout run in July. The Little Maine is primarily a brown trout and sea trout fishery. The Brown Flesk is a spate river and can give good sport for salmon and sea trout after a spate. Most of the fishing is regarded as free.

Valentia Island Sea Angling
Valentia Island Sea Angling, under skipper Nealie Lyne, runs a fast offshore 105, fully licenced P5. It is fully insured with all the latest equipment for 12 anglers.

Angling Blackwater River Kenmare
The River Blackwater enters Kenmare Bay seven miles west of the town of Kenmare. It drains a large area, including three loughs. It gets a small run of spring salmon, an excellent run of grilse, and a good runof sea trout. This is a productive river but has its problems which include gravel extraction.

Charter Boat Molly’O
Angling charter boat 42 foot Tyler operates from Dingle. The boat is a heavy construction with twin 375 HP Caterpillar engines. Stable and has a slow drift rate. Licenced for 12 passengers. Full safety equipment to DoM standards. Rods & reels bait & lures are all supplied aboard. Electronic fish finders GPS, radios & radar are all installed new.

Walk around wheelhouse for more fishing space. Galley & toilet aboard. Coffee, tea and light lunch available.

Valentia Fishing
Valentia Fishing provides fishing trips with incredible sea coast mountain scenery on the beautiful Ring of Kerry! Enjoy days of fishing with professional internationally-known boat, Sioux and captain Siegy.

Sioux is an Offshore 105, built in England. She is 38ft (11.58m) long and equipped with a 300 bhp Ford Sabre Turbo Diesel engine. Sioux is a fully licenced and insured passenger boat for up to 12 anglers, well maintained and specially equipped for deep sea angling.

Kenmare Angling & Sightseeing Cruises
What we do is suitable for all, from kids to experienced fishermen. We sail from Kenmare pier, which is a five minutes walk from Kenmare Town. We can carry up to ten people. Fishing is mainly what we do, but we also visit the seals and castles. We will be fishing for mackerel, pollack, conger eel, dogfish, ray and ling. We advise that no mater how good the weather, you bring warm clothing, good footwear and a camera. There is a toilet on board and you can bring as much food and drink as you wish. We are certified and approved by the Irish Department of Marine and we will not sail if it is any way windy. Special offer: half day €200, full day €300 per charter (rods and bate provided)

Waterville Lakes & River System

Joe Roddy & Sons Skellig Trips & Angling
Joe Roddy & Sons operate 2 fast passenger boats to the Skellig Islands, and on sea angling trips daily from Portmagee Pier.

On the Skellig trips the visitor will enjoy a fast boat trip of approximately 45 minutes, with 2.5 hours on the islands, weather permitting.

Sea angling charters are also provided, for full day, half day and afternoon trips. Beginners and experienced anglers welcome. Rods, reels and tackle for hire on board.

Booking essential (names only) in advance for sea conditions and departure times. The boats are certified by the Department of the Marine.

Sheen River Angling
The Sheen River flows into the head of Kenmare Bay. It has a reasonable run of spring salmon from March and the run of grilse arrives in mid June and continues into late July with a further run of big salmon in late season.

Caragh River System
The Caragh River drains a large catchment area and about six lakes before entering Lough Caragh. On leaving the lough it flows for two miles to the sea. The Caragh River is a classic spate system. It gets a good run of spring salmon and grilse, and the lower river is noted as a sea trout fishery. The spring fish run in February, March and April; the grilse begin running at the end of May and the sea trout run from mid-August.

Angling Barfinnihy Lake
Barfinnihy Lake is six-and-a-half miles from Kenmare, near Moll’s Gap. It is developed by the regional fisheries board and holds a good stock of wild brown trout, and adult rainbow trout are stocked regularly.

Dingle Bay Charters Sea Angling
Whether you are a novice fisherman or an experienced angler, you can experience the thrills of deep-sea fishing in Dingle Bay on board one of Dingle Bay Charters’ three fully licenced and equipped angling boats. Washed by the warm Gulf Stream, Dingle Bay plays host to a large variety of fish species, including conger, Pollack, wrasse, ray, blue shark and tope.

The skippers, who have spent a lifetime at sea, will take you to their favourite marks in the Bay and beyond where you can fish surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the most westerly islands in Europe.

Angling Cloonee System
Two scenic loughs lying 8 miles South of Kenmare, hold an excellent stock of brown trout with some sea trout from late July and occasional grisle. The brownies average 8oz with some up to 1lb. The take freely and are terrific fighters, Fishing is all over. Best fishing in April, May, September, FLY ONLY. There are boats for hire.
