An Gleantain Cottages are ideally located in pretty Caherdaniel village, on the Ring of Kerry, these beautiful self catering cottages are ideal for holidaying in Kerry.

Each detached holiday home is tastefully decorated and offers wonderful spacious accommodation. There are 4 bedrooms accommodating up to 8 people, 2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms.

These houses are at the front of the complex opposite the school.

Caherdaniel is a wonderful base from which to explore the Ring of Kerry offering breathtaking scenery, cosy pubs, small shop, bakery, cafe, watersports and horse riding in addition to the beautiful blue flag beach in Derrynane.

Walking Trails Derrynane Coastal Circuit – 3 hours walk with a distance of 8km. This varied, low-level circuit explores sandy beaches, old mass paths and Derrynane National Historic Park. A great way to explore the beauty of Caherdaniel and Derrynane.

From Shannon: Take N18 to Limerick, N20 to Adare, N21 to Castleisland, N23 to Farranfore, (In Farranfore village take right at petrol staion & follow Ring of Kerry road to Caherdaniel) – travelling through Glenbeigh, Caherciveen, Waterville & onto Caherdaniel. From Dublin : Take M7 from Dublin and take the Cork exit for the south. Take N7 for Limerick and follow directions as above or take N8 for Cork and follow directions as below From Cork Via N22 to Ballyvorney, R569 to Kenmare then N 70 (signposted Sneem). In Sneem follow N 70 to Caherdaniel. In Caherdaniel : Go through village and the houses are located on the right hand side opposite the school 200m after the cross roads in the village.

Eclipse Cottage 1 has a downstairs double bedroom and a roll in shower adapted for wheelchair use. Then upstairs is 1 Double + 1 Single room and 1 room with 2 sets of bunk beds.

All houses are light and airy with porcelain tiled or oak flooring covered with beautifully coordinated rugs. The well equipped large kitchen and dining area features walnut units, oak dining tables and leather dining chairs, with French doors to a private patio.  Relax in the lovely bright living rooms which are tastefully furnished with comfy leather sofas, flat screen TVs with satellite stations, DVD player and hi-fi system.

The Eclipse Centre offers you a family holiday with peace, relaxation, adventure and fun in a beautiful and tranquil setting.  A sauna, steam-room and Jacuzzi and walks through the estate’s woodland and gardens mean you can combine a wonderful leisure experience with a multitude of activities to suit all the family.

Pairc an Callan (WCH)

Pairc An Callan is a charming development of self catering semi-detached houses located just 900m from Kenmare town centre. Great attention to detail has been taken in designing these homes, which is reflected in the spacious, comfortable accommodation. The living accommodation comprises of a bright living room with feature open fire place, TV and DVD player. There is a separate fully fitted kitchen with dining area fitted all the modern conveniences and a utility room.

Upstairs the bedrooms comprise of one king size double room en suite, one twin room and one smaller double room. The main bathroom is upstairs and there is a WC downstairs.

Conveniently located in Kenmare, these houses provide a wonderful base from which to explore the Ring of Kerry and the Beara Peninsula.

Guests can avail of the leisure facilities every day at the nearby Kenmare Bay Hotel between 12-4pm. The hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from the holiday homes. The cost is €9.50 for adults and €5.50 for children. Prebooking is advisable during peak season.

CORK AIRPORT (97km): Leaving Cork International Airport, turn left at Airport Road Roundabout onto Kinsale Road, (N27), and branch left after 3km, merging onto South Ring Road (N28) for 2.5km. At Sarsfield Road Roundabout, take 2nd exit continuing on South Ring Road for a further 1.3km and then at Brandon Road Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto South Ring Road (N22) continuing for approx 64km. In Clonkeen, turn left onto the R569 for 24km to Kenmare. As you enter Kenmare, turn right down one way street, (Henry St) in town centre and then straight across at town square towards the church ( leaving this on your left) up Railway Road, past Supervalu Supermarket and bear left and then turn right into Pairc an Callan.

KERRY AIRPORT (48km): On leaving Kerry Airport at Farranfore, turn left on N23 and then at T-Junction, turn left on N22 to Killarney. As you approach Killarney, turn left following N22 at the roundabout to Kenmare (R569), and straight across next two roundabouts on N22 for a further 15.1km and then turn right down one-way street (Henry St) in town centre and then straight across at town square towards the church (leaving this on your left) up Railway Road, past Supervalu Supermarket and bear left and then turn right into Pairc an Callan.

SHANNON AIRPORT (171km): Leaving Shannon International Airport, Co Clare on the N19 Airport Road, follow signs for Limerick (N18), and turn right on N18 towards Limerick via Bunratty. At Coonagh Roundabout, take 3rd exit following N18 towards city centre and turn right at Shannonbridge Roundabout along Dock Rd (N69), following signs for Raheen and Limerick Regional Hospital turn left at 2nd roundabout towards Raheen. At Raheen roundabout ( South Court Hotel on right), turn right on N20 and continue onto N21 to Adare, Newcastlewest, Abbeyfeale, and Castleisland. At Castleisland, turn right at traffic lights and follow signs for Killarney (N23). Just after Farranfore (Kerry Airport), turn left, at T-Junction on N22 to Killarney. As you approach Killarney, turn left following N22 at the roundabout to Kenmare (R569) and straight across next 2 roundabouts on N22 for a further 15.1km and then turn right to Kenmare on R569. As you enter Kemare, turn right down one-way street (Henry St) in town centre and then straight across at town square towards the church (leaving this on your left) up Railway Road, past Supervalu Supermarket and bear left and then turn right into Pairc an Callan.
